French Press - Modern Black
French Press - Modern Black
Few things feel quite as fancy as preparing yourself a nice batch of bean juice in an adorable little cylinder. With the Rocky's Roastery French Press Coffee Maker, you can join the ranks of the coffee elites and thumb your nose at pour-over and Keurig users everywhere.
To use: Measure 2 tablespoons coarse ground coffee for every 6 oz. of water you plan to use (or, with a kitchen scale, measure 1g ground coffee to every 15g water). Boil water, let cool for 1 minute, then pour into French press. Do not overfill. Stir, then put the lid on. Do NOT depress the plunger yet! Let steep for 4 to 5 minutes, then slowly push down on the plunger until it's fully depressed. Serve immediately, then hand wash with warm water and soap. Do not dishwash.
Or, you know... just YouTube how to do it.

Great, true borosilicate glass that held up perfectly on an infrared cooktop, the plastic handle leaves something to be desired, but ultimately the glass is what we're here for. All in all, great purchase, and a great fit for your furry coffee loving friends ;3
Got a bag of medium roast and a french press to go with it. The french press comes with a little scoop to help measure your coffee, and the french press (supposedly) can make 2 cups (12 oz) of coffee at a time but I only make 1 cup a day for myself.
The container is made out of glass, the container holder's made from metal, and the handle's made out of plastic. It looks a little cobbled up, but I've been using it for 2 weeks now and it's been great! Haven't run across any issues, and the handle's big enough that I can carry both my prepared cup and the press in the same hand. For someone who makes coffee only for themselves, this french press is the perfect size.
